Human rights are the fundamental freedoms and protections that every person is entitled to, regardless of nationality, race, gender, or status, ensuring dignity, equality, and justice. I believe in the fundamental dignity of every person, no matter where they are born or what circumstances they face. Too often, the most vulnerable people—refugees, women and girls in conflict zones, people living in poverty or under authoritarian rule—are denied the basic rights and protections that others take for granted. I’ve witnessed firsthand how injustice and inequality can destroy lives, but I’ve also seen how courage, resilience, and advocacy can lead to change. This fuels my commitment to amplify the voices of those who are too often silenced.
My work in human rights has taken me across the world, from conflict zones to refugee camps, and every experience has deepened my resolve. It is impossible to walk away from stories of persecution, displacement, and systemic violence without feeling a responsibility to act. Human rights advocacy isn’t abstract for me—it’s about the people I’ve met whose lives have been shaped by decisions made far from where they live. I see my role as both a witness and a bridge, working to connect their realities with the systems and decision-makers that have the power to make a difference.
